Reedham Riverside Beer Festival

About the Reedham Riverside Beer Festival August 2010

Reedham Riverside Beer Festival Round 2 and this this time its serious. The Reedham Riverside Beer Festival is back for 2010 but bigger and better than before. Over the past 16 years Reedham has hosted many beer festivals and this August sees the largest of them all. The 2010 Reedham Riverside Beer Festival will be held at The Lord Nelson on the bank of the river Yare. This pub beer festival will have over 60 real ales and ciders from local brewers and the rest of the country. There will also be a fine selection of real ales from the Humpty Dumpty Brewery which produces cask ales in the village. A few of this varied selection of beers will be on hand pumps at the bar and the rest will be served from the barrel. There will also be a cider tent featuring real ciders from the local area which will include Kingfisher and Crones Organic.

The real ale is only part of the story, as well as the large selection of cask ales and real ciders there will be as diverse a selection of entertainment. The week will start with Norwich Beer Festival favourites The Harvs and will see other acts such as Big Red Boat, The Water Rats Jazz Band, Cole Stacey and Scott Ward, The Rum Brothers plus local favourites The Chuffinches and Jon Collorick as well as a Jam night with Danny and Carl and much more. Other entertainment will be available such as The Kemps Men Morris dancers and the much loved Reedham Duck Race which will see plastic ducks race between the swing bridge outside the Ship Inn home of the Reedham Mountain Rescue Council and The Lord Nelson pub.

But no Reedham Riverside Beer Festival would be complete without good food and the Lord Nelson will be providing lots of it. The restaurant will be serving its normal fare if you wish to sit down for a meal or a snack. Food can also be served outside in the sun. As well as this there will be a burger bar outside for a lighter snack.

So whatever your needs there should be something to put a smile on your face. All of this over 11 days from the 20th of August to the Bank Holiday Monday on the 30th of August 2010 from 12 midday to 12 midnight. If its music, real ale or a family day out your looking for come to Reedham Riverside Beer Festival and have a great time. With a good train service from Norwich Lowestoft and Yarmouth there is no need to bring the car or you can float in to one of the free moorings along the river front.

So come along taste listen and watch a great event. Cheers.
